Where it’s normal to “vanish like candy wrappers.”
When I can’t help but laugh at stories like this.
When your student can sum up summers in Hong Kong oh so eloquently;
“I was sweating like an overflowing water fountain.”
When students respond to the daily writing prompt, “What are you nervous about and excited for this year?” like this.
Year two as a grade 6 teacher in Hong Kong begins again tomorrow! Really looking forward to another fantastic and rewarding year with a great group of students!
When you have “Black Rain Days” instead of “Snow Days”.
When parents blatantly ask if you ever plan on getting married and inform you of single’s parties in the area.
When there’s an English-language barrier, hilarity ensues.
When students get very serious about their schoolwork.
Student: “There are no gentlemen in the class!”
Teacher: “It doesn’t get any better when you get older. Trust me.”
